In 2009 the ECRR awarded the Ed Radford Memorial Prize, donated by his widow Jennifer and the Radford family in the USA to Prof. Yuri I Bandashevsky who first drew attention to the effects of internal radioactivity from Chernobyl on the health of the children of Belarus and was rewarded by arrest and imprisonment. This 2025 report is dedicated to Dr Herman Müller, who, as early as 1952 accurately warned about the dangers to the genetic integrity of human beings resulting from the contamination of the biosphere by fission and nuclear fuel cycle radionuclides.
