How to overclock your Ninebot ES2 ES4 scooter with a custom firmware - speed hack this is a tutorial for increasing acceleration and top speed of your Ninebot ES2 or ES4 scooter. I found that if you have the latest version of the Ninebot ES1 or ES2 or ES4 firmware, it's a bit complicated to install a custom firmware in order to get more power and speed out of your scooter. I have then decided to share my findings and the how to quickly perform a custom firmware flash that will give new life with your electric kick scooter by increasing the acceleration as well as top speed and doing it in a safe way in order to not damage anything. With the speed hack the top speed goes from 27km/h to 31km/h (on my es2 without external battery), by changing the settings you can also reach 34km or more but as said i just wanted a safe and minor change. I am anyway not responsible of any damage you might cause to yourself or your scooter, also results might vary depending on your scooter revision (mine is manufactured in mid 2019, older versions are known to have cables/electrical problems).
