Three Qualities of a Successful Investor

In today’s video I am going to offer what I believe to be the three qualities of a successful investor. In my opinion, you need to have all three in order to succeed in accumulating wealth by investing in the financial markets. So, what are these three qualities? Let’s have a look. The first quality is knowledgeable. Are you knowledgeable about the financial markets? How about the different types of financial securities that you can invest in such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds? Are you knowledgeable about portfolio management and design? Do you have the skills and knowledge to manage your investment portfolio over the course of your life? To be a successful investor, you will need to be able to answer yes, to each of these questions. The second quality is disciplined. Are you the type of investor who is disciplined and can stick with your long-term investment strategy during bull markets and bear markets or periods of time where the financial markets seem like they are static and not moving up or down at all? The question you have to answer is, just how committed are you to your long-term investment strategy and do you have the discipline to stick with it. The third quality of a successful investor is being patient. It takes time to accumulate wealth, often decades.
