This track is quite unique considering the general scheme SAO tracks follow. Usually they are either soft, ambient or big orchestral compositions showing character themes. However this track really focusses on the villainy and mysterious atmosphere of its character. It totally caught me off guard when it first played in episode 2's end. Right when the camera moved to the skies and focussed on the tower and moon, it was an instant feeling of «There is definitely something up there». The track really focusses on «Mystery» part with a little touch of villainy. The bass and the beats are probably the best parts of this track. The vocals uplift the track, but the main attraction for me still lies in the beats. The entire background composition behind the vocals is extremely catchy. Many of the instruments are, I believe, processed in some way or maybe synthesized directly as I have not heard of them so I'll just have to refer them through timestamps. Right when the beats start at 00:10, there is another instrument along with it and it continues with the beats for the rest of the track. It really sounds nice the way it synchronizes with the main beat. At 0:24, the track fully picks up with another instrument. I think its again some sort of processed piano or xylphone but I am not sure at all. Its got that kind of bubble-y sound to it. That is probably my favourite sound from this entire track.
