Mazda CX-5 Car Camping Bed Build

CX-5 seats don't fold completely flat, so I bought a 2'x4'x5/8» plywood board, a 4«x1«x4' board cut to level the plane, a 1«x1» bracing stick and a few wood screws and some glue. Then I laid another board I had handy on top, to extend the platform to a full 6' and put a 3» thick foam mattress that's 2' wide and 6' long on top. It's incredibly comfortable under a sleeping bag, and it makes sleeping setup a 2 minute affair after driving to a location, and totally easier clean up after rain versus a tent or hammock. For cooling, there are bug nets you can get for cheap from Amazon that slip over the doors to let you open the windows, and you can use a USB powered fan on a power bank to increase airflow. I don't camp in the middle of winter so heating isn't a concern, but let me know in the comments if you've come up with nice solutions there. All in all it turns a CX-5 into a legit solo car camping rig which could easily be doubled for two-person camping without spending big on racks and a cartop tent. You could even get crafty by staining/painting/sealing the platform and sewing a nicer fleece pillowcase around the foam to protect it from abrasion.
