See the evolution of Windows through its sounds at startup and shutdown. Sit back and watch. Notes: - The Windows NT images up to NT 5.0/2000 build 1773 are not the actual boot screens, they are backgrounds titled: PRELIM.BMP for the first NT build, WINNT.BMP for NT builds up to 3.51, WINNT256.BMP for 3.51-2000 build 1773. - The year after the mentioned version/s are the years when it was developed until either its last Service Pack (SP) or OEM Service Release (OSR) - OEM-specific versions are not included (e.g. 1.xx by Tulip Computers), however, OSRs are included as they are not limited to one OEM.
