BMW E90 N52 Valvetronic Eccentric Shaft Sensor and Valve Cover Gasket Replacement

Аватар автора
My car would on the odd occasion have a slight variation to the idle speed on a cold start until it suddenly became much worse and started throwing codes. Join me as I replace the valvetronic eccentric shaft sensor, the valve cover gasket, spark plugs, and coils. I use a number of guides to help me through the process here are the one I found the most helpful: Thanks to fellow YouTube user Robert Smith for catching and correcting a mistake on my commentary, I installed the valvetronic motor correctly, but mixed up my clockwise and counter clockwise. I added at asterix in the video correcting my mistake. For reference the proper method for removing and installing the valvetronic motor is: Remove by: 1. hex-key clockwise to resistance 2. unbolt unit completely 3. hex-key counter clockwise to pull-out point Install by: 4. position cam motor 5. hex-key clockwise to resistance 6. bolt unit completely. Thanks for writing down the all the steps Robert! Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments!
