Us and Them | Part One: Allies

Shahid Bolsen addresses one of the most persistent misreadings of his work: the assumption that because he speaks truthfully about injustices done to a particular group, he is that group's ally. He is not. As a Muslim, his obligation is to bear witness — to remove himself from the equation and describe what is, regardless of who it flatters or indicts. This talk examines what the desperate search for allies actually reveals about Western epistemology: a civilization with no fixed moral standard, where truth is won by coalition rather than discovered by conscience. And it begins the civilizational reckoning — what Western society actually produces, what it exports, and why being wronged by it does not make anyone innocent of it.
