Scooby-Doo Mystery Mayhem | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary

Though all the negative news surrounding the recent Velma show made me stay far away from that, it DID get me interested in revisiting some old Scooby-Doo games from a bygone era. Back during the Playstation 2 times we had a bunch of Scooby-Doo games come out that were actually quite decent. They nailed the feeling and setting of the show and the characters felt true to their source material....unlike a different HBO Max show out there. Mystery Mayhem takes a different approach as it gives the player 5 shorter episodes that last around 40 minutes each with varied settings and a complete new storyline. It feels like you are playing through a short Saturday morning cartoon episode of Scooby-Doo and his friends. Rather than a platformer it feels like an adventure game where you need to collect certain items and keys to progress. There are sometimes a few minigames like a minecart race or motorcycle sequence. Though these are fun at first, they outstay their welcome and you get set back to the beginning of the section whenever you fail a button prompt. Nevertheless I had a blast with this game and cannot wait to visit some other Scooby games for that sweet nostalgia! #funny
