Short for Server Message Block, SMB is an application layer protocol that allows for file, printer, device sharing and inter-process communication (IPC) between applications on a network through a client-server architecture. SMB is a client-server interaction protocol where clients request a file, and the server provides it to the client. It is now a Windows-based network that gives users to create, modify and delete the shared files, folders, printers within the network. SMB is an application layered protocol that uses TCP Port 445 to communicate. It also provides a herborized intercommunication mechanism to transfer to share the files between the client and the server. With the upgrades of its versions, the services are much more enhanced and effective to use by the users or clients. This video shows how to transfer the files between iOS and Windows PC using Network via SMB. Devices: Windows PC (Works with any Modern Microsoft OS i.e Win7,8,8.1,10&11 or Any Server) iPhone running iOS (Tested with iOS 16) Both Connected to Same LAN (Both IP Addresses are reachable) Steps: 1. Create a user at Windows OS (using lusrmgr.msc) 2. Create a folder at desired path (like D drive or E drive) 3. Give Read/Write permissions for the newly created user for that directory (or you can leave everyone) 4.
