Sandblaster Review | Cheap Blasting Cabinet From Ebay | 220L Sand Blasting Machine & Blast Media In our never-ending battle with rust, we decided to improve our blast cabinet facilities. We have a 90L blasting cabinet (which is currently being remodelled for wet blasting), and a blast pot which we use outside. The old 90L blast cabinet is OK, but the bottom is quite shallow so the media doesn’t fall to the bottom well enough to keep the suction pipe submerged. This can be a real pain. The blast pot is great, but most of the media ends up being lost. We felt the 220L blasting cabinet should answer both of these problems. The bottom is much steeper, so you can put in more media, and it should recycle really well. It being a closed system should mean the media won’t be lost as quickly. In this video, I build the cabinet and blast the heads of a few bolts. As this is being written the cabinet has been used quite a lot more, on the rusty BMW E30 parts and some other smaller projects we have. The only issue we have had is with the screen, I think we are being too tight with replacing the perspex covers that are in there. But this is nothing like the problems we had with the 90L sandblasting cabinet. Other than that it has been wonderful!! We did consider the next size up 350L, but it was too big for where we can put it. If space wasn’t a consideration we would have bought it.
