Main Line (D37)  · 1-0 1. d4 {Grandmaster Peter Leko equalised the score in the World Championship at Brissago, Switzerland by holding game four and exploiting Kramnik&endgame errors in game five. Leko won a pawn in the opening. However, this was known theory and most experts assumed that Kramnik had worked out in advance how to draw. Nevertheless, after many hours of play Kramnik committed an error in a seemingly drawn position that annihilated his prospects of salvation.
