Replace PCV valve on a 9th generation Honda Civic (2012 - 2015)

It seems the Honda technical manual says to replace this part (17130-PND-A01) at no more than 60,000 miles. I couldn't find any reference on the manual that you get when you buy the car. I bought a genuine Honda in this case ($23) and didn't go with the rockauto options. This car is a 2014 Honda Civic 1.8 EX and had 140,000 miles. Why is important to replace the PCV valve? An old PCV valve promotes sludge formation, which clogs the engine’s interior surfaces and can lead to condensation that causes engine wear. You could have rough idle, sluggish acceleration or increased oil consumption. You could also have P0171 and P0174 codes. Some sites recommend to change it at 30,000 miles, others at 60,000. It only costs around $23 and can save you a lot of trouble.
