How to Export STL Files from Sketchup

Sketchup is a great program to use for 3d printing because it&free and intuitive. In this video we walk-through how to export STL files for 3d printing. STEPS: 1. Open the extension warehouse 2. Download "Sketchup STL" by the "Sketchup Team" 3. Select the geometry within your model that you&like to send to STL for 3d printing 4. Go to File 5. Select "Export STL" 6. In the pop-up menu select the checkbox which says "Export only current selection" 7. Select units (I use millimeters for my Dremel 3d printer) 8. Select format (I use ASCII for my Dremel 3d printer) 9. Click the export button Now you have a universal STL file which you can import to your 3d printer&software!
