It follows Alice, holder of the reconognisable job in the world, as she goes about her day. We see how technology makes her life easier and more convenient, but gradually the cracks star to show and the viewer has a glimpse of a darker, lonelier side of an automated world. The film is part of a year long independent content series run by the Sustainable Business section of the Guardian exploring capitalism, social and environmental limits to growth, austerity and the emergence of new economic models that are changing the way we define prosperity.
