This siren is part of the Laurens County Outdoor Warning System, and it is tested Every Saturday at 12:00 pm (non-weather permitting) and is controlled by the Laurens County Fire Dispatch I had nothing else to do today, so I decided to go and try recording a siren in Laurens County, and for that, I decided to hit up Hickory Tavern. I haven&recorded a siren in Laurens County since March, and it&a bit strange to me because to me it feels like it&been a year since I went to Laurens County. Anyway, as I clicked record on both of my cameras, I hear the tones activating, and it turns out this siren did not get activated for some reason, my guess is that it&probably a loose signal or something like that. But either way, I was disappointed that it did not activate. However, as soon as I was about to go pack up, I saw one of the fire deputies heading into the station. I went to them and I let them know that this siren did not activate, and after I told them, they said they will activate it for me, even though I did not ask them to. But they told me it was no worries, so I rushed to my car to get all of my equipment back out and turn on my cameras and my drone as fast as I can. I got to thank the Fire Marshall of Hickory Tavern Fire Department for activating it for me. Now for the siren, it does have a kick of a pitch when it was winding up...
