Flowers of the forest - Mandora

This is the first try of a new arrived instrument, a Mandora (in fact inspired by iconography, not an historical copy), made by Bernard (a French amateur luthier) at my demand after my specifications. And he did very well, a very nice instrument. Many tunings are possible, on the five single strings, here it is linear GCEAD. But I will also try other tunings. Music is from a Scottish Mandora MS from around 1630, the Skene Mandora Ms. It is the most important source for this instrument in the XVIIth century. Later the Mandora change to a bigger instrument, often tune like a guitar. I will also use this instrument to play mediieval music. Even is «purists» may say it is not historical, I don't care, I just want to share music, not do historical reconstitutions.
