Carve Snowboarding VR is the brand new VR snowboarding game for Oculus Quest & Oculus Quest 2 from the creator of the N64 classic, 1080 snowboarding! Hit the slopes, push for the fastest times, compete for the highest scores or just kick back in your cozy log cabin in a Quest 2 game that really tries to capture the arcadey snowboarding action of games like Amped, 1080 & SSX (without the crazy, over the top tricks). I'll admit right now that I'm pretty terrible at the game but I wanted to bring you some Carve Snowboarding VR gameplay & Carve Snowboarding VR first impressions today to help you decide whether this is one of the many new Quest 2 games worth your time & money, let's check it out... Carve Snowboarding VR manages to tread a careful line between arcade action & simulation fun, you aren't punished for not clicking with the controls immediately & it's a perfectly viable option if you just want to fly down the mountain whilst listening to some of your favourite in-game tracks (there are some real highlights on the soundtrack that blend so perfectly with the games VR snowboarding gameplay). However there's a level of depth here that will need to be mastered if you want to unlock Carve's later levels or unlock extra boards, soundtrack additions & medals. For example executing tricks involves grabbing your board in different positionsto initiate different grab tricks & knowing exactly where to grab the board is key in completing some of the games more specific challenges...
