Hello everyone! This video is such a special video to Rylan and I. We are sharing with you our home birth experience! The video captures the highlights of our birth at home; specifically the laboring and actual birth of our beautiful boy, Khai. This was the most physical and exhausting 27 hours my body had ever experienced; yes I was in labor for 27 hours! Rylan and I had the most amazing support team present. Our original plan with our midwife fell through last minute, in which her back-up midwife and assistant were present. My sister, Suzanna, was my doula and with her being there, my anxiety was very little to none! When deciding to have a home birth, a birthing pool was a must-have for me since my happy place and calming thoughts are at the beach. With out tv playing ocean sounds and being in the pool, my blood pressure was normal but most importantly I was relaxed and stress free.
