EGR Cleaning - 1HDFT 80 Series

Hello viewers! Today we took some time out to clean the EGR(Exhaust gas recirculation). It was a tough job because the bolts were pretty tight. The air intake that goes over the cam cover has to be opened and there are four bolts over the heat screen and four bolts on the other side of size 12 MM. Next there are 4x12mm bolts holding up the EGR and 2x14 mm bolts holding up the exhaust channel that’s linked to the manifold. Before you attempt any of this make sure you have the proper tools and also have a can of WD-40 ready to apply to all the nuts. This is a project for you if you time to open these bolts using only a spanner you will have an amazing time. I recommend..... I actually highly recommend a good impact wrench/gun to complete the job. For cleaning of the actual EGR what is recommended is that you have a kind of diesel carb cleaner or brake cleaner.
