Salve Regina (solemn) | Song of the Rosary | Gregorian Chant

This gregorian chant, «Salve Regina,» is the solemn tone according to the Roman Rite. This is the famous prayer «Hail, holy Queen» which is commonly prayed at the end of the Most Holy Rosary and is traditionally sung after Compline from Saturday before Trinity Sunday until the Friday before the first Sunday of Advent. It is attributed to Bl. Hermannus Contractus (aka Hermann of Reichenau) in the 11th century, but in its current from comes from the great Abbey of Cluny in the 12th century.
