I managed to track down a T30 online manual in PDF format and it only stated &and pull&What that translates to is just unscrew it. I think some sort of threadlock compound should be used as there was a symbol of a tube of glue on the diagram but since the thread is quite stiff, it doesn&really need any but if you do want to use some sort of thread lock, only use low to medium strength suitable for low strength applications. It certainly makes removing the centre trim panel a bit easier.
