Mercedes-Benz Actros - How to remove / install the door module with defective control unit

The power window on a Actros is defective. The window cannot be opened. This complicates removal of the door module. The window must be approx. 3/4 open for it to be removed. Switch off the ignition and remove the key. Remove the door handle. Remove the mounting bolt. Pull out the door handle. Unclip the linkage of the door lock with a screwdriver. Remove the three screws of the door lock. Unscrew the roller sun blind. Continue with the upper door trim. Remove the bottom left footwell cover and the connector of the door module. Remove the entrance illumination. Remove the velour panel. Removal cannot be continued because the window is closed. Note: The defective power window motor is accessible through the speaker opening. Remove the mounting screw for the cover and unclip the cover. Remove the four screws of the speaker. Remove the speaker and disconnect the black and blue connectors. Fix the window to the door frame using an adhesive strip for safety reasons. This prevents it from sliding down when the bolts of the power window motor are unscrewed. These three bolts are located behind the cover at the positions highlighted. The positions of the bolts can also be seen by looking into the speaker opening from above. Ideally, use a 10 mm combination wrench with ratchet fitting. When the three bolts are loosened, the power window motor slides back.
