Location: Red Bridge River Access, N Coates Highway, Brethren, Manistee County, MI System: Consumer’s Energy Warning System - Manistee River System Tested: On a Thursday in August and December of each year, 9:30 AM. Tests are announced a few days in advance. Cameras: Canon Vixia HF-R800 Other Equipment: Diawa Metal Tripod, Baofeng UV-5R, Radioddity GA-5S, my Grandma&car. Note: this siren is not silver. Due to the angle I set up at and the fact that I was shooting into the sun, it makes the siren look silver. It¬. It&actually the standard white color. Other Notes: Bi-yearly test of the Consumer’s Energy Manistee River Warning Siren System. This siren’s located at a boat launch and has some very cinematic viewing points. On Monday, I got an email notifying me that the Power Corporation had released their testing time and date for the August Test. On Tuesday, I scheduled some time to go out to the test with my Grandmother. We met up at 8:30 and drove the 35 minutes to this siren, and waited, and waited, and waited. They tested at 9:32 today. When I was at the Manistee River Trail MOD, they tested early at 9:29. After the test, we meandered our way back to where I&parked my car. This siren was very loud.
