Tutti Frutti - Little Richard - Acoustic Guitar & Bass Cover

Yesterday we had the very sad news that the amazing Little Richard had passed away. Jan and I love playing his songs, and we performed a number of Little Richard classics at a street party only the day before. We thought we should make new a video of one of our favourites, by way of a tribute to the great man. Our version is somewhat rockabilly in flavour ...as was Elvis&cover. I was lucky enough to see LIttle Richard perform on two occasions. He was awesome (in the true meaning of the word). Tutti Frutti was written by Little Richard and Dorothy LaBostrie. It was his first major hit record (in 1955). Its hard-driving sound and wild lyrics became not only a model for many future Little Richard songs, but also a model for rock and roll itself. Richard actually cleaned up the original lyrics (which were quite filthy actually!) for the record.
