Fox attacking wallaby - remote camera footage

This short video was taken on a remote camera set up at soak/wallow to monitor Sambar deer on a rural property on the outskirts of the ACT. The camera captured several stills plus this short video of a fox killing a red necked wallaby. Foxes are known to predate on many native species including small marsupials but it was not commonly thought that attacked and killed larger wallabies (such as this adult wallaby). This footage was entered by Brian Summers as part of our 2017 Feral Photo and Video competition and highlights the impact that introduced predators such as foxes continue to have on our native wildlife.
