Opel Meriva 2004 - EGR Valve removal for cleaning (Error P0400 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow)

I hope you learn something useful that can help you too. A few days ago the car of my wife's father was lit by a check engine light. I checked the error with my diagnostic program and came out to be «P0400 - Powertrain - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow». It turned out that there is a possibility to try to clean it up, and if it does not work, the car will need a new one. In this episode I remove the EGR valve to check its condition and try to clean it to see if there is any improvement.
