CLARIFICATION: Almost all Fuji lenses have aperture rings--what I meant to say is that variable aperture zooms don't have aperture rings with the f/stops physically marked on the lens. As a result, while you can turn the lens' aperture ring to set the f/stop, you have to be looking at the LCD screen while doing it. To me, that defeats the purpose of having the aperture ring on the lens, because it's not that analog/mechanical experience. That's why I strongly prefer the fixed aperture zooms in the Fuji world.
