Is fashion modern? | HOW TO SEE the Items exhibition with MoMA curator Paola Antonelli
The Museum of Modern Art
Is fashion modern? MoMA Senior Curator Paola Antonelli explores this and many other questions in MoMA&first fashion exhibition in over seventy years. Structured around a list of 111 items, from the bikini to the burkini to the original Birkin Bag, the Savile Row suit to the white T-shirt, the exhibition considers the many relationships between fashion and functionality, culture, aesthetics, politics, labor, identity, economy, and technology.
