Nakoa Tiger Rose 24 4 22. VBAC waterbirth at home.

Peaceful home waterbirth VBAC. It looks like it was an easy ride and it was very peaceful for the most part but it was a ten hour journey that stretched me in every way imaginable and took me right to the edge of myself where I collected some special powers and eventually emerged a changed woman. It turned out we had quite the crowd that day but I loved it and felt so held and supported. There was fun and lightness and deep beauty. The older siblings were able to witness the birth of their baby brother which was so meaningful to me to keep the flame of empowered birth alive for future generations. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to experience this and I understand from very personal experience that its not always possible. Being empowered and educated in our birth choices is what is most important. I'm sharing this in celebration of international homebirth day. Thank you to all the midwives, doctors, doulas, birthworkers and families who continue to support homebirth as safe and normal. Thanks to my support team: Midwife and best friend Mariko, Doula Caitin, my mum Donna, my kids, midwife sunny and my big love, my co-creator, my rock and Papa bear Luke. Thanks Tiaan for your beautiful contribution to the space and for the video. I hope this inspires or plants a seed of possibility. x
