The very first of the many Scooby Doo games released for Windows PC systems. Scooby-Doo! Mystery of the Fun Park Phantom is a 1999 mystery computer game developed by Engineering Animation, Inc. (EAI) and published by SouthPeak Interactive. Scooby-Doo! Mystery of the Fun Park Phantom is a PC mystery game that combines the exploration of an adventure game with the strategy and endless playability of a traditional board game. The characters come to life in 2 1/2-D, a special rendering that keeps cartoon characters looking true to their 2-D appearance, yet gives them added dimension. Just like the TV show, the game places players in sticky and sometimes humorous situations, where they must solve a mystery and uncover the game&true villain. Hunt for clues, set traps, and munch down on Scooby snacks. The original Scooby Doo TV show intro is also included in the game for those who enjoy the nostalgic touch. Game Story: The "Mystery Inc." gang find themselves stranded near an old farmhouse adjacent to an apparently abandoned amusement park. Approaching the farmhouse for help with the Mystery Machine (their van), the gang learns that the Gobs, the residents of the home, own the adjacent park, Gobs O&Fun. However, the park is being haunted by a phantom, scaring customers away. Without any customers, the Gobs are on the brink of bankruptcy, which will force them to sell the park. The gang agrees to help the Gobs find the culprit in exchange for help getting their van repaired....
