In this video, I&providing a quick/starter guide on how to install EmuDeck/EmulationStation on your Steam Deck. 1. Once you insert the SD card (in game mode), make sure to go to STEAM – Settings – System and select “Format SD Card” 3. After downloading the app (EmuDeck), open it to initialize and download some files, then start choosing your preferences (Easy/Custom mode and ROM storage) 4. When the installation is complete, exit, add your game roms & bios, so you can launch ‘’Steam Rom Manager’’ (SRM) 5. You can use a USB drive to copy your game roms and bios because if you insert your SD card in your Windows PC, Windows won’t read/recognize Linux files 6. Use your right track pad as your mouse and your left trigger (L2) for right click and your right trigger (R2) for left click 7. After copying your roms & bios, open EmuDeck – Tools & Stuff – Steam Rom Manager (confirm closing the Steam app) 8. Set up your parsers: on the left column, toggle off any system you don’t want to appear in your SteamOS interface (to avoid cluttering the UI) 9. Generate app list: on the top left, go to “Preview” and select “Generate app list” 10. If your game rom name doesn’t match the artwork, it’s probably because the file name of your rom, or the SteamGridDB matched it with the wrong game, in that case, check your game in the SteamGridDB to see if your rom name needs to be changed 12.
