Beginner Cello - 4 months on

Technically it&coming up to 4 months since I started learning the cello. However it¬ what I&call 4 months worth of lessons/practice. When learning piano and violin as a child I had a lesson each week and daily practice. I&had about 5 lessons and after a holiday I&decided it is time to upgrade from my Stentor I rental cello to something a little more refined. Whether the new cello is a keeper remains to be seen but I do prefer playing it to the student cello. I work full time and am doing a lot of commuting so I¬ been able to practice as much as I would like. From January I should have moved house so I can dedicate more time to practice. Here&how I&getting on! (Apologies for some beginner tuning issues, there is much work in progress). I&just got to the end of Suzuki Cello Vol 1. I&still ironing out my violin hang ups - bow hold is noticeably naughty in this video... I&focusing on sound quality over everything else to try and hear the difference between the cellos. Currently I have a limited repertoire but sometimes if I&lucky there&be a glimmer of what might be. As soon as I am aware of it, it disappears again! One day I&be able to play the Bach Cello Suite No. 1... I thought it would be a nice enduring indicator of my progress - video to follow of my feeble attempts...
