Newt Scamander arrives in 1920s New York — a British magizoologist with a battered suitcase that hides an entire world of rare magical creatures inside. His brief stop in America quickly turns into a series of dangerous incidents: several beasts escape, the magical community of MACUSA tries to conceal traces of magic from ordinary people, and fear grows in the city because of a destructive force whose origin no one can explain.
