Unfortunately, i don’t think eric roberts’ performance could have been any worse. most high school actors that i’ve seen would have been more convincing. his over-the-top haughtiness and inept british accent made me think of a phoney monte python or benny hill episode… but without the humor or charm. they really couldn’t get anyone better suited for the role? Can you imagine how impressive the film would be with a tom hardy or similarly capable actor in the role instead?
