The Super Sirex is by far the strangest siren I've ever seen. Not only is its design unlike any other, it is very loud and its two pitches create a «tri-tone», also called the «Devil's Interval» in music. The siren was designed by the Harry O Ricci Company (HOR) back in the 1950s. This is the single intake version with a 15 horsepower motor. Sirens in Butler County test on the first Wednesday of the month at noon.
