The large McCallister family is preparing to spend the Christmas holidays in Paris, and amid the noisy chaos, the youngest son, Kevin, feels unwanted among his brothers, sisters, and adults who are constantly scolding him. After a family argument, he angrily wishes to be left alone, and the next morning his wish unexpectedly comes true: in the rush to get to the airport, his relatives leave for their trip and forget him at home. At first, Kevin enjoys his freedom, eats whatever he wants, watches grown-up movies, and for the first time feels like the master of the big house. But soon it turns out that two clumsy burglars have chosen the neighborhood as their next target. While his parents desperately try to return, Kevin has to overcome his fear, use his ingenuity, and turn the family home into a fortress where a child’s imagination becomes the most unexpected weapon against adult criminals.
