Phil Sgrosso from As I Lay Dying "The Truth of My Perception" FULL playthrough

As I Lay Dying Shadows Are Security 2005 "The Truth of My Perception" TUNING - DROP C (C G C F A D) Never played this song live so pretty sure this was the first time I ever learned to play it all the way through in it’s entirely and somewhat accurately. (EDIT - apparently we did play this live for the This Is Who We Are DVD shows, but never for a full tour, my memory is slipping apparently!) Writing/recording is all in sections and it’s not until you play it live that the real work comes in, performing. Because this song isn’t always on my radar, I tend to forget about it BUT when I hear it I get even more excited like “oh yeah, this song is a fun one” (hence why I’m posting). The song is pretty straightforward with some cool ascending/descending tail ends that help the riffs resolve nicely and lead into others. Not sure but this may have been the first song off Shadows that we had Nick play a guitar solo over, so this may have introduced that newer element of the band from kicking into high gear with not just lead melodies but full on shred.
