Convert stl to STEP file to use in CAD software

CAD solid modeling packages don&like stl files. This makes modifying solid geometry from sites like Thingiverse, or from software packages like QBlade quite difficult. In this video I demonstrate how to export turbine blade geometry from QBlade as an stl file, convert it to a STEP file using SALOME, and import that geometry into PTC CREO as an editable solid model. You can use the same method with your CAD software of choice to modify stl files downloaded from Thingiverse.
