Recording Information Planning How we choose to record information and structure our planning sessions is a lot down to personal preference. In this video we share some thoughts and ideas. Learning Some people may choose to jot trip planning notes down in a notepad or blank sheet of paper. Others may choose to use a more structured format like a trip planning sheet. We have included an OLSK trip planning sheet, this can be downloaded via the link to the right of this page. A trip planning sheet has sections to complete information about the group, shore based contacts, weather forecasts, tidal plan and maybe a sketch map of our route. It is important that we have methods of taking some of our planning information out on the water with us. We could consider- Putting our trip planning sheet into our map case so we can see our tidal planning. Drawing tidal planning information with a pencil directly onto our maps and charts.
