Erica Synths x 112 dB Razornator: Review and Demo

Аватар автора
Erica Synths Razornator is 4th 112 dB collaboration FX unit and it's resonator like no other. In this hands-on walkthrough build entire track (strings, dubby stabs and thunderous bass) from nothing but short pulses of noise fed into its Karplus-Strong like resonators. If you want to know what Razornator actually sounds like before you buy, this deep-dive demo is for you. Razornator packs 10 resonators (5 stereo pairs), resonant low-pass filter, 24 dB of input gain, built-in compressor and an envelope follower - all fully IDI controllable. Originally 1983 Karplus & Strong algorithm for lucked-string and percussive tones, Erica Synths and 112 dB have turned it into wildly flexible tone-generation and sound-mangling machine. We run through signal path, root/offset tuning, gorgeous presets by Eraldo Bernocchi, and push it hard with synths, hi-hats and kicks. Resonator, but not as we know it.
