Das Boot cover - Roland FA-06

Did this cover of the theme from Das Boot. I used the Roland FA-06 with both preset and custom made sounds. The sound of the destroyer passing in the beginning and the end of the track are sampled from the movie and assigned to one of the FAs sample pads. The melody is played using one of Rolands Supernatural string sounds combined with a samplebased orchestra sound. Sounds like the sonar ping are custom made, while other sounds are merely tweaked a bit. I made use of the MFX for each part and used the TFX engine to get plenty of reverb on everything. The other keyboard is a Roland GW-8 which in this setup, is used only as a controller for two different parts on the FA-06.
