Chopin Polonaise Op.26 No.2 in E flat minor - Tatiana Shebanova playing a Erard 1849. The Polonaise opens ominously but soon builds to become more agitated and passionate. The middle of the piece is a contrast to the dark atmosphere of the piece. Following the return of the main theme, the piece closes with subtlety, like its opus companion. The music itself is absolutely beautiful and just make a lot of more sense in a period piano, I also fell that the dynamics just are more clear in this piano instead of a modern. The trio is something that I just can&explain with words, is something that you have to hear to understand. Also in my opinion, the trio is better more slowly than the tempo that it normally is played.
