Mercury 3.5 - 4 Stroke Outboard Motor. This was the first outboard motor I'd purchased new. I recall paying around £560 at the time. Up until this time I'd been using a Mercury 9.9 hp 2 stroke engine which was great fun but a little on the heavy side and I wasn't too keen on the oil to fuel mixing process. After a season with the Mercury 3.5 on the boat I decided to give up boating all together so this video is from when I was testing it before selling it. The Mercury 3.5hp outboard motor served me well for the time I had it.
