It is story of how Portishead came together, experimented and shaped sound of Dummy. In early 1990s, 3 people on edges of Bristol&music scene began quietly making music in their own way. Drawing from Hip-Hop, film soundtracks, damaged vinyl and deeply personal songwriting, they shaped sound that didn&fit anywhere else. Using archive interviews, studio stories and song-by-song examples, this short documentary breaks down how Dummy was made - from self-sampling and vinyl abuse to drum processing, recording limitations and late-night conversations between Geoff Barrow, Beth Gibbons and Adrian Utley, alongside engineer Dave McDonald, that turned Dummy into seminal album!
