It is story of drum break that flopped in 1970s, sat unnoticed for years, then spread through Hip-Hop after being pulled from neighbour&suitcase of records. When Skull Snaps released &New Day&record barely registered and quickly disappeared. More than decade later, New York rapper digging through his neighbour&suitcase of old 45s stumbled across it and unknowingly kicked off one of Hip-Hop&most widely sampled drum breaks. This short doc traces full chain reaction - from church-trained harmony singers and half-finished New Jersey studio, to Stezo&version, Paul C&heavy enhancement and how producers like Gang Starr, Pharcyde, Das EFX, Camp Lo and others ended up tracing break back to its source.
