Indesit WIB111 strange behaviour

I swear the machine hasn't always done this. It seems to slow down for 2 seconds and then burst into spin again twice . This has previously caused the machine to jump out of its spot because the load hasn't been balanced when it slowed down for 2 seconds. I'm not sure if the spin programme has now become faulty. The machine works fine otherwise. It was purchased in 2008 and never gone wrong.
