Programming STM32 MCUs using STM32CubeProgrammer: Part 1

Learn how to program, read, and configure your STM32 microcontroller using the STM32CubeProgrammer software tool and use all its features during development and automate repetitive programming tasks. The STM32CubeProgrammer is a multi-OS software tool that can be used to program the on-chip and off-chip memories associated with your STM32 microcontroller through various interfaces such as SWD, JTAG, USB, SPI, and more. Things you will learn in this series: • Understand the different interfaces of the ST-Link that can be used • Understand how to connect to your STM32 microcontroller with different configurations • Understand how to read the microcontroller memory • Understand how to program the entire microcontroller flash memory • Understand how to erase the entire microcontroller flash memory • Understand how to program the microcontroller option-byte configuration In this video: we’ll start with an overview of what to expect for the entire series, as well as a deeper understanding of what the STM32CubeProgrammer is and how it connects to the STM32 microcontroller to read/program its memory. We will see how to update the firmware of the ST-Link, establish a connection to the target MCU, and perform some memory operations (read, program, verify).
