Thomas wakes up in a rising elevator with no memory of his past and finds himself in the Glade — an enclosed space surrounded by the enormous walls of the Maze. Teenagers live there, trying to survive for years under strict rules: everyone has a job, no one goes beyond the walls at night, and the runners explore the shifting corridors by day in the hope of finding a way out. Thomas’s arrival disrupts the established order, and soon after him comes Teresa — the first girl in the Glade, connected to him by a mysterious past. The more persistently Thomas searches for answers, the deeper the Glade falls into chaos, while the Maze reveals not only deadly traps and monstrous Grievers, but also the secret of the experiment they have all become part of.
