The Winner Takes It All / Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus

“The Winner Takes It All” is an incredibly beautiful song of a Swedish pop-music group, ABBA. Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, members of ABBA, made it and Agnetha Fältskog, another member of ABBA, dramatically performed her lead-vocal of the song. It was first released in 1980 and won first place in hit-chart in Belgium, UK, and many other countries. This song describes “winner” and “relationship break-up” situation which I associated with my consistent concern these days. Bass-guitar sound in the music was generated from a normal electric guitar (Ibanez Roadstar II) and an effecter “Electro-harmonix Bass 9”. It was my first challenge to add bass-guitar sound to a tune. I hope you enjoy it !
